PERI PAUSE

PERI PAUSE is an invitation to slow down, honour what is changing, release what no longer feels true, and remember the wisdom that has always lived within us.

Lets Talk about it ladies…

Somewhere along the way, perimenopause became something women seemed to feel shame about. I noticed if i mentioned it in conversation, women would look absolutley mortified. Nooooo….i’m not that old, would usually be the response.

It is not something to hide, fix or simply get through, or be in denial about.

It is one of life's sacred rites of passage. A season every woman will walk in her own way.

Today, we are fortunate to have more understanding than ever before about the physical changes taking place within our bodies.

But alongside that knowledge, I believe there is something many of us have forgotten.

For generations, women gathered. They sat together on the Earth, They shared tea. They tended the fire. They spoke honestly about life.

The grief that arises, the shame and often the fear. They listened to the women who had walked before them. They learnt not only what was happening... They learnt how to be with themselves as it happened. They learnt that this season was not something to fear, but something to honour. They learnt how to truly live from their heart and in reverence for life. That wisdom was passed from woman to woman. Heart to heart. Story to story.

PERI ○ PAUSE is my way of bringing a little of that back.

A place where modern understanding meets ancient remembering.

Where science and ceremony belong in the same conversation.

Where no woman has to walk this initiation alone.

TOGETHER WE SIT BY THE FIRE, LISTEN, LEARN AND LOVE.

TOGETHER WE WALK IN BEAUTY ♥

PERI ○ PAUSE has been quietly humming in my heart for a long time.

Like a seed, I have tended to her with love, trusting that she would bloom in her own time. I believe that time is now.

I speak with so many women who feel alone in this season. Women who wonder what is happening to their bodies, why they no longer feel like themselves, or why the ways they've always lived no longer seem to work.

While perimenopause is often spoken about through the lens of hormones and symptoms, I have come to see it as something more.

I believe it is one of life's great initiations and rites of passages. A sacred invitation to slow down. To listen. To honour our changing bodies. To let go of what no longer feels true. To remember the wisdom that has always lived within us.

I don't come to you with all of the answers. I come as a woman walking this path too. Over the years, I have been deeply blessed by women who have shared their wisdom, their stories and their way of living with me. They didn't simply teach me information. They showed me another way to move through life with reverence, beauty and deep presence.

Through being in their presence, I discovered that ceremony isn't something we perform. It is a way of meeting life.

PERI ○ PAUSE was born from a longing to create that kind of space for other women.

A place where beauty is not something we strive for, but something we become available to. A place where science and embodied wisdom belong in the same conversation. A place where conversation is honest, where tears are welcome, where laughter is medicine, where warm soup is shared around the fire, and where no woman feels she has to walk this season alone.

Above all, I hope this is a place where you begin to trust yourself again.

Where you remember that your body is not working against you.

That this season is not asking you to become someone new.

It is inviting you home to yourself and remember that life is sacred.

It would be a true honour to walk this path beside you.

With Love,

Amanda ♥

Come and sit by the fire.

There comes a season in a woman's life when self-abandonment no longer works.

Come and sit by the fire.

There comes a season in a woman's life when self-abandonment no longer works.

The ways we've pushed through, cared for everyone else first, ignored our bodies or silenced our truth begin to ask something different of us.

It's as though a fire begins to rise from within.

Many women laugh and say, "I just want to tell everyone to f**k off," when they've never spoken that way before.

I don't believe that fire is here to destroy us.

I believe it is here to burn away everything that no longer belongs.

For many women, this season arrives during perimenopause.

It can bring waves of grief.

Grief for the body that is changing.

Grief for our youth.

Grief for the rhythms and cycles we have known for so much of our lives.

And sometimes, grief for the woman we thought we had to be to be loved and accepted.

Yet beneath the grief is an invitation.

To honour our yes.

To honour our no.

To honour our boundaries, our truth and the quiet wisdom of our own bodies.

This can feel deeply uncomfortable.

But perhaps that is because we are no longer becoming who the world asked us to be.

We are becoming who we truly are.

PeriPAUSE is a place to be held in that becoming.

A place to receive wisdom.

To be witnessed through the tears.

To gather with other women.

And to offer yourself to the loving fire of transformation, allowing it to gently burn away what no longer serves, so that what is true may quietly emerge.

Come and sit by the fire.

There is a place waiting for you.

A pause to listen to your body.

A pause to honour what no longer feels aligned.

A pause to grieve what has been.

A pause to celebrate what is emerging.

A pause to ask...

How do I want to live the rest of my life?

Amanda Lee

Amanda is the founder of Wildflower Within and PERI ○ PAUSE, where she creates beautiful spaces for women to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and honour the beauty and wisdom of life through embodiment, ceremony and meaningful conversation.

For more than 25 years, Amanda has worked alongside people in a variety of roles, always drawn to creating environments where others feel deeply seen, safe and welcomed. Her work is grounded in the belief that transformation doesn't happen through striving, but through learning how to be with ourselves in a more compassionate and honest way.

Professionally trained in coaching, somatic practices, female energetics, womb wisdom and studying Cranio Sacral Therapy, Amanda gently weaves together modern understanding with embodied wisdom, creating spaces where women can deepen their relationship with themselves, their bodies and the life that is unfolding before them.

As a woman walking her own perimenopause journey, Amanda has come to believe that this season is far more than a hormonal transition. It is one of life's sacred initiations, an invitation to slow down, honour what is changing, release what no longer feels true, and remember the wisdom that has always lived within us.

PeriPAUSE was born from a simple longing: to create the kind of space where women gather together in beauty. Where science and embodied wisdom belong in the same conversation. Where stories are shared over warm tea, honest conversations are welcomed, and no woman has to walk this season alone.

Amanda lives on the Sunshine Coast, where she dreams of creating beautiful places for women to gather around the fire, rest deeply, and remember the sacredness of being fully alive.
